A good floor starts at the bottom. We pour screed indoors and concrete outdoors, flat and solid, as a base for tiles, parquet or a terrace.
Indoors we lay screed as a floor finish base, for example over pipes or underfloor heating. Outdoors we pour concrete bases for terraces, paths or a garden shed.
Because we also lay the tiles afterwards, we know exactly how flat and at what height the base needs to be. That way everything lines up neatly later.
Large terrace tiles were laid on the finished base.

That depends on the thickness, the type of screed and the conditions. Parquet in particular needs a properly dry screed. We only plan the floor finish when the base is ready for it.
